We
went for a hike today in the Alpilles. After
a while we started hearing bells clanking and soon came across a herd of grazing
sheep. The dog that was guarding them
spotted us and ran up to check us out.
I guess we passed muster because after a few seconds he ran back to his sheep.
As
we got closer we could see the shepherd on the far side of the herd, leaning
against his staff.
It’s
one of the things we love about this area, the way you occasionally stumble
across a simple scene, beautiful and unchanged for centuries.
KVS
Unchanged, except for the GPS chips used to locate stray sheep!
